2306

new single-family Residence, son puig, palma de mallorca

Project 2306 in Son Puig, Palma, represents sustainable architecture in Mallorca – climate-neutral construction with innovative materials.

Our architecture combines Mediterranean lightness with state-of-the-art timber construction and sustainable design. Nestled within Mallorca’s tropical vegetation, this urban oasis seamlessly merges indoor and outdoor spaces. By utilizing Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and the unique Fetdeterra façade, we create a highly functional, climate-neutral living concept that sets new standards both aesthetically and ecologically.

What Matters to Us:

Materials & Sustainability
Sustainable construction begins with material selection. In Mallorca, where climatic conditions such as intense sunlight and salty air pose unique challenges, we rely on Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). This solid cross-laminated wood stands out for its excellent load-bearing capacity, durability, and optimal energy balance. CLT regulates humidity, provides a healthy indoor climate, and creates a cozy atmosphere—perfect for Mediterranean living.

The Fetdeterra façade lends the building a distinctive aesthetic while protecting it from the elements. This innovative façade technology combines natural wood surfaces with a durable protective layer that withstands UV radiation, moisture, and temperature fluctuations. The result is a long-lasting, low-maintenance exterior with outstanding thermal insulation.

Open Design & Climate Concept
The architectural concept is based on an open design that blends indoor and outdoor spaces. Expansive glass surfaces, sliding elements, and covered transitions create a fluid connection between the living area, pool landscape, and tropical garden.

Passive sun protection plays a crucial role in this single-family home: pergolas, cantilevered roofs, and louver systems provide natural shade and reduce overheating. Strategically placed openings enable optimal cross-ventilation, ensuring a pleasant indoor climate even during the hot summer months. This results in an energy-efficient living concept that largely eliminates the need for mechanical cooling while making the most of Mallorca’s climate.

Integration of Pool & Tropical Garden Landscape
A key element of the design is the harmonious integration of water and vegetation. The pool is not only a visual highlight but also contributes to microclimate regulation, cooling the surrounding air through evaporation. Natural materials like stone and wood, combined with water features, create a calming atmosphere and enhance the property’s recreational value.

The tropical garden, designed with native and climate-resistant plants, forms a lush oasis in the city. Palm trees, Mediterranean grasses, and shade-giving trees provide a private retreat that combines seclusion with a natural lifestyle. Rainwater harvesting systems and efficient drip irrigation ensure sustainable plant maintenance.

Bespoke Architecture & Tailored Concepts
Each of our projects is unique, tailored to the individual needs and desires of our clients. Our architecture is defined by customized concepts that unite functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. From the first sketch to final implementation, we create living spaces that integrate seamlessly into Mallorca’s urban or natural landscape while guaranteeing the highest design quality.

Value Creation & Unique Features
Through the consistent use of innovative materials, sustainable construction methods, and intelligent energy concepts, we create buildings with long-term value. Our architecture is not only ecological and energy-efficient but also enhances the economic worth of the property. The combination of modern timber construction, open architecture, and exclusive design gives our projects a distinctive identity. This results in timeless living concepts that impress both aesthetically and functionally.

Climate-Neutral & Energy-Efficient
The building envelope is highly insulated and optimized for minimal energy consumption. In addition to natural climate regulation through wood, water, and shading systems, renewable energies are actively integrated into the concept. Photovoltaic modules on the roof provide self-sufficient energy supply, while an advanced rainwater treatment system reduces water consumption.

The deliberate orientation of the building maximizes natural daylight, reducing the need for artificial lighting and improving the overall energy balance. This combination of intelligent architecture and sustainable technology makes the project a pioneer in climate-neutral construction in Mallorca.

Conclusion
Our architecture combines the best of Mediterranean living, innovative timber construction, and sustainable technology. Through an open design that merges interior spaces with the surrounding nature, we create an urban oasis that offers the highest living comfort. The use of CLT, the Fetdeterra façade, natural shading systems, and renewable energies makes this project a groundbreaking example of climate-neutral, contemporary construction in Mallorca. Through personalized planning, bespoke architecture, and sustainable value creation, we set new benchmarks in modern building culture.
